Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has set a new benchmark in sales during the recent 32-day festive season that commenced with Navratri. The company reported an astonishing 15.98 lakh (1.6 million) units sold, reflecting a remarkable 13% growth compared to the previous festive season in 2023.
The 125cc motorcycle segment has been a significant growth driver for Hero MotoCorp, with the Xtreme 125R leading the charge. This model has resonated well with consumers, contributing to the overall success of the brand during this festive period. Additionally, the 100cc segment has also played a crucial role in bolstering sales, demonstrating the brand’s stronghold in various motorcycle categories.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle brand, VIDA, achieved a noteworthy milestone by recording 11,600 retail sales during the festive season. The ongoing expansion of the VIDA network, leveraging Hero Premia and Hero 2.0 outlets, alongside a focused approach on the top 30 towns in India, is yielding positive results.
The Harley-Davidson X440 sold over 2800 units, showing the brand’s popularity. The firm plans to extend the Premia network to over 100 sites by the end of current fiscal year, increasing the reach and accessibility of this aspirational brand.
