Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Centennial, a collector’s edition motorbike on Monday. The Hero Centennial is a limited edition motorbike that will only be sold in 100 units and will only be available through invitation. Although the homegrown two-wheeler company has not disclosed the motorcycle’s price, it has stated that deliveries would start in September of this year.
In an official statement, the two-wheeler maker stated that the Hero Centennial comes to pay tribute to the company’s founder and Chairman Emeritus, Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Customers are invited to participate in a special campaign by the firm, in which they can share anecdotes showcasing their bond with the brand.
About the motorbike, the Hero Centennial is built with carbon fibre body panels and a lightweight aluminium swingarm for structural strength and aerodynamic performance.
Hero MotoCorp claims that the motorcycle’s features—such as the handlebars, handlebar mounts, triple clamps, and rear-set foot pegs—were uniquely designed. The bike is fitted with a 43-mm upside-down front suspension with damping adjustment and a gas-charged, fully adjustable Wilbers monoshock, all of which contribute to its reported weight of 158 kg.
Additionally, it claims that an Akrapovic titanium and carbon fibre exhaust system would provide a unique exhaust note. The motorbike has diamond-cut alloy wheels. The motorbike features a carbon fibre seat cowl and milled aluminium special edition numbered badging on the side covers.
