Hero MotoCorp Limited, the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, posted impressive dispatches for January 2025, recording 442,873 units sold, driven by robust growth in the global market and the electric vehicle (EV) segment.

Key Performance Highlights (January 2025):

  • Total dispatches: 442,873 units, compared to 433,598 units in January 2024.
  • Domestic market: 412,378 units, slightly lower than 420,934 units in the same period last year.
  • Exports: 30,495 units, a significant growth of 141% YoY from 12,664 units in January 2024, led by key markets like Bangladesh and Colombia.

Electric Vehicle Growth:

Hero’s EV brand VIDA saw remarkable growth with 6,669 units of VIDA V2 electric scooters dispatched, achieving 214% YoY growth. The VIDA V2 starts at ₹96,000, making it a competitive offering in the growing EV market.

Segment-Wise Breakdown:

  • Motorcycles: 400,293 units (YoY marginal decline from 402,056 units)
  • Scooters: 42,580 units (up from 31,542 units YoY)

YTD FY25 Dispatches: 4,961,515 units compared to 4,662,630 units YTD FY24.

Product Launches and Milestones:

  • Hero MotoCorp launched five new products, including the premium motorcycles Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210, along with scooters Destini 125, Xoom 125, and Xoom 160 maxi scooter.
  • Hero MotoSports Team Rally secured 7th place at the Dakar Rally 2025, marking its second-best performance.
