Williams, the legendary British Formula One team, has announced the recruitment of a new Chief Technical Officer (CTO), marking a significant step in strengthening their technical leadership.
James Vowles, the Team Principal, revealed the acquisition without disclosing the identity of the appointee. Williams has been without a CTO since Paddy Lowe’s departure in 2019, and they are currently in need of a Technical Director following FX Demaison’s exit last year.
Vowles emphasized the importance of filling these crucial technical positions and assured that the identity of the new CTO would be revealed soon.
In the interim, the CTO will assume the responsibilities of a Technical Director, overseeing technical operations.
Additionally, Williams aims to reinforce its aerodynamics department by finding a suitable Head of Aerodynamics to enhance the team’s performance in that domain.
