Escorts Kubota Limited reported a sharp rise in tractor sales during August 2025, driven by favorable rural conditions and strong festive season demand. The company’s Agri Machinery Business sold 8,456 tractors in August 2025, up 27.1% from 6,652 units in August 2024.
Domestic and Export Performance
Domestic sales accounted for the bulk of volumes, with 7,902 tractors sold in August 2025, marking a 26.6% increase compared to 6,243 units in the same month last year. The company attributed the growth to widespread and timely monsoon rains, healthy water reservoir levels, and an early festive season boost that lifted rural sentiments.
On the export front, Escorts Kubota shipped 554 tractors in August 2025, a 35.5% rise from 409 units a year earlier, reflecting strong demand in overseas markets.
April–August 2025 (FY26) Performance
For the first five months of the current financial year (April–August 2025), the company recorded total tractor sales of 46,191 units, up 5% from 43,985 units in the same period last year.
Domestic sales (April–August 2025): 43,374 units vs. 42,192 units in FY25, up 2.8%
Export sales (April–August 2025): 2,817 units vs. 1,793 units in FY25, up 57.1%
Outlook
The company expects tractor demand to remain strong in the coming months. With Kharif sowing already surpassing last year’s acreage and talks of a possible GST rate reduction on tractors and farm machinery ahead of the peak festive season, industry sentiment continues to be positive. Escorts Kubota believes the rural growth momentum will further support tractor sales in the second half of FY26.
