Eicher Motors Limited on January 2026 disclosed the sales volume performance of its unlisted subsidiary, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), for the month of December 2025, along with year-to-date figures for FY26.
For December 2025, VECV reported total sales of 10,384 vehicles, inclusive of electric vehicles, compared with 8,324 units in the same month last year. This reflects a year-on-year growth of 24.7% for the month. On a cumulative basis, year-to-date volumes stood at 69,597 units, up from 61,486 units in the corresponding period of the previous year, translating into a growth of 13.2%.
Exports remained a key growth contributor during the period. Total exports in December 2025 were recorded at 650 units, compared with 490 units a year ago, marking a growth of 32.7%. For the year-to-date period, exports reached 5,315 units, up from 3,514 units last year, reflecting a sharper growth of 51.3%.
In contrast, the Volvo Trucks & Buses segment reported softer performance. Sales for December 2025 stood at 207 units, compared with 289 units in December 2024, resulting in a year-on-year decline of 28.4%. On a year-to-date basis, the segment recorded sales of 1,835 units, marginally lower than 1,845 units in the same period last year, indicating a decline of 0.5%.
