Eicher Motors has shared the July 2025 sales data for its unlisted subsidiary VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), reporting a 7.4% year-on-year growth in total sales, including electric vehicles. VECV sold 7,115 units in July this year, up from 6,622 units in July 2024.
Domestic sales stood at 6,410 units, marking a 6.1% increase from 6,044 units last year. Segment-wise, the heavy-duty truck category (≥18.5T) grew by 12.6%, while the light and medium-duty (LMD) trucks below 18.5T rose by 8%. Bus sales saw mixed performance—LMD buses declined 4.5% while heavy-duty buses dropped 12.4%.
Exports were a highlight for VECV in July, rising 32.5% to 530 units compared to 400 units last year. LMD exports surged nearly 34%, and heavy-duty exports rose by 23.4%. Bus exports also climbed 36.9%.
Meanwhile, Volvo Trucks & Buses, also part of VECV, saw a marginal dip of 1.7% in sales. On a fiscal-year-to-date basis (April–July), total VECV sales reached 28,725 units, up 9.1% from the same period last year.
