Citroen India, the renowned automobile manufacturer, has announced that it will implement a price hike for the C3 hatchback, effective from July 1, 2023. The prices of the popular hatchback will witness an upward revision, with an increase of up to Rs. 17,500 across various variants. Currently, the Citroen C3 is available in three trims: Live, Feel, and Shine, with prices starting from Rs. 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
Under the hood, the Citroen C3 is equipped with two engine options. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, which generates 80bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The second option is a more powerful 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 109bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. It is exclusively mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
In addition to the C3 hatchback, Citroen India recently unveiled the C3 Aircross in the country. While this SUV is based on the same platform as the C3, it incorporates styling elements inspired by its larger sibling, the C5 Aircross. The C3 Aircross is anticipated to make its official debut in the Indian market during the second half of 2023.
Citroen’s decision to increase the prices of the C3 hatchback reflects the current market dynamics and various factors affecting the automotive industry. As the company introduces new models and expands its product lineup, customers can expect further updates and offerings from Citroen India in the coming months.
