The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV has faced a disappointing result in the Latin NCAP crash tests, earning a zero-star safety rating. The Brazil-spec model, which was tested, scored poorly in several areas, with just 33.01% in Adult Occupant Protection, 11.37% in Child Occupant Protection, and 49.57% in Pedestrian Protection. The SUV also scored 34.88% in Safety Assist.

Key factors contributing to the poor performance include inadequate chest protection for front passengers during the frontal impact crash and weak neck protection in the whiplash test. The model lacked side head protection for both front and rear passengers, resulting in significant safety concerns. Furthermore, the vehicle failed the Dynamic Child Protection test due to non-compliant ISOFIX anchorage markings.

It’s important to note that the India-spec Citroen C3 Aircross offers a more robust safety package, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchors, and other advanced safety features.
