BYD, a Chinese electric car manufacturer, is all set to introduce the eMax 7 MPV in India on October 8, the firm revealed. The deliveries are anticipated to start in the festive season.

What to expect in BYD eMax 7?

BYD eMax 7 is expected to be available in two seating configurations: 6- and 7-seaters. The e6 featured a 5-seater setup. This greatly decreased the cargo volume, although folding the third row will free up a decent space for luggage. Anticipate new leather upholstery for a premium touch.

The panoramic sunroof, soft-touch dashboard, large touchscreen and several other comfort features are expected to be found in the cabin.

The BYD eMax 7 comes with two different battery pack configurations for international markets. A 55.4 kWh version provides 420 kilometres, while a 71.8 kWh model provides 530 kilometres. BYD India sells the e6 with a 71.8 kWh battery pack and the same is expected with the eMax 7. It’s speculated that the smaller battery pack may be offered as an affordable variant. The 71.8 kWh variant’s dual-motor set-up produces 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of maximum torque.

BYD eMax 7 expected price

The price of the outgoing BYD e6 (ex-showroom) was ₹ 29.15 lakh. Ex-showroom, the family SUV Atto 3 costs ₹ 33.99 lakh. It is expected that the pricing of the forthcoming eMax 7 would range from ₹30 lakh to ₹33 lakh (ex-showroom).
