Chinese automaker BYD, known for its backing from Warren Buffett, has introduced its latest electric vehicle (EV) called the BYD Dolphin.
This C-segment hatchback will be launched in European markets later this year and offers two battery options: 44.9kWh and 60.4kWh. The BYD Dolphin lineup comprises four models: Active, Boost, Comfort, and Design, each featuring different battery capacities and additional features.
The entry-level Active model, priced at around 29,990 euros, comes with a 44.9 kWh battery and a 70 kW motor, while the range-topping Design model, priced at 37,740 euros, offers a 60.4 kWh battery, a 150 kW motor, and extras like a panoramic roof and wireless smartphone charging.
The BYD Dolphin boasts impressive performance, including a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7 seconds, 310 Nm of torque, and a WLTP electric range of 427 km.
It also supports fast charging, with a 100 kW DC charger enabling a 30% to 80% charge in just 29 minutes. With its compelling features and diverse model options, the BYD Dolphin aims to attract EV enthusiasts in the European market.
