BYD is a relatively new entry into the Indian passenger car industry. The Chinese electric vehicle giant has already piqued the interest of many in the global marketplace and it plans to boost its market share in India with a lineup of luxury EVs. The company now sells models such as Atto 3, E6 and Seal. The BYD Atto 3 portfolio in India has just been updated with three new models.

In the Indian market, the BYD Atto 3 is now more reasonably priced due to the new models. The top-spec trim of the electric car maintains the same battery pack that was previously available with the pre-updated model, while the entry-level model has a smaller battery pack.

In India, the BYD Atto 3 is now offered in three new variants. Since the product portfolio has grown, the electric SUV is offered in Dynamic, Premium and Superior models. The company hopes to serve a wider range of customers with different needs with these three electric car models. Furthermore, this strategy increases the range of choices available to Atto 3 buyers.

The BYD Atto 3’s base variant Dynamic has a starting cost of ₹24.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making the electric car more affordable for buyers. Previously, the electric SUV was offered for ₹33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This implies that with the upgrade, the BYD Atto 3 is now significantly more affordable for Indian buyers.

The entry-level Dynamic model of the BYD Atto 3 has ARAI-tested and NEDC-claimed ranges of 468 km and 410 km on a single charge, respectively. The BYD Atto 3 Dynamic model is powered by a 49.92 kWh battery. Higher ranges of 521 km and 480 km, respectively, will be provided for the electric SUV’s Premium and Superior models. Both models include a 60.48 kWh battery pack.
