BSA will debut the Gold Star 650 in India on August 15, Independence Day. BSA is one of the oldest two-wheeler manufacturers in existence. The firm was purchased by Classic Legends in 2016 and since then, the brand has been selling the classic Gold Star 650 in worldwide markets.

The majority of the original model’s design characteristics are maintained in the Gold Star 650’s modern-classic style. It has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with chromed edges, a circular headlight, twin-pod meters, a broad single-piece handlebar, a one-piece flat and wide saddle and spoked wheels, all with a vintage classic design.

The engine in the powertrain may have an old-fashioned appearance, but it is a modern machine inside. It is the highest single-cylinder displacement engine, liquid-cooled, capable of producing 45 bhp and 55 Nm and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The Gold Star 650’s bike features include a cradle frame with a front telescopic fork setup and rear dual shock absorbers. Disc brakes are used at both ends, with dual-channel ABS to assist. The bike boasts a simple feature set, including a USB charger and a semi-digital instrument console.

Talking about the price, BSA is anticipated to maintain a reasonable sticker price, with the starting price estimated to be about Rs 2.70 lakh ex-showroom.
