BMW Motorrad has unveiled the updated 2025 F 900 R roadster and F 900 XR sports tourer, delivering significant upgrades for middleweight motorcycle enthusiasts. Both models are powered by the same 895cc parallel-twin engine, producing 105 bhp and 93 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

A key highlight is the 3 kg weight reduction across both bikes. Lighter 17-inch cast aluminium wheels and a new, more efficient battery contribute to a sleeker and more agile riding experience. The F 900 R now weighs 208 kg, while the F 900 XR is just 216 kg.

Ergonomically, both models have seen adjustments for better comfort, with footrests moved further back and handlebars slightly forward. The F 900 XR also receives aerodynamic upgrades, including a redesigned front fairing and new handguards. For added safety, both bikes come equipped with cornering-sensitive ABS Pro as standard, along with improved traction control and heated grips.

Other notable additions include BMW’s Headlight Pro with adaptive headlights and daytime running lights, as well as a USB-C charging port. Riders can further enhance performance with the optional Ride Modes Pro, which includes a dynamic mode for added customization.

With refined performance, lighter construction, and updated features, the 2025 BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR continue to set the standard in their class.
