BMW recently released the M4 CS in India, with a starting price of Rs 1.89 crore (ex-showroom). The M4 CS (Competition Sport) stands above the M4 Competition and includes various mechanical upgrades to make it faster. The M4 CS is BMW’s first CS model to be offered in India.
BMW M4 CS features
The 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine powering the BMW M4 CS is the same engine found in the standard M4. In any case, the engine has been modified to generate 550hp (20hp more than the M4 Competition), owing to an increase in turbo boost pressure from 1.7 to 2.1 bar. The maximum torque stays unchanged at 650Nm, but it is produced between 2,750rpm and 5,950rpm, which is 220rpm greater than the M4 Competition.
The M4 CS has daytime running lights that are coloured yellow, in contrast to the M4 Competition. Bronze wheels and a crimson outline are elements of the kidney grille. There is a dedicated M Mode button on the centre console and M-specific visuals are displayed on the head-up display. Additionally, the centre console contains an M-specific Setup button that provides easy access to the settings for the chassis, engine, all-wheel drive, steering and brakes.
In addition to the optional flat-bottom Alcantara M steering wheel seen in the M4 Competition, it also maintains the most recent version of BMW’s curved display, which consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen running the most recent version of the BMW Operating System 8.5.
