BMW has unveiled the M3 CS Touring, a high-performance, limited-run station wagon. Based on the M3 Competition Touring, this model offers weight savings, enhanced performance, and a revised chassis. Notably, this is the first-ever CS-badged station wagon, featuring an all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission paired with a powerful twin-turbo inline-six engine.

BMW M3 CS Touring Features

Design

BMW has significantly reduced weight by using carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), which has resulted in a 15 kg weight reduction and a 1,850 kg curb weight. Carbon fiber is used to create important parts like the front splitter, air intakes, bonnet, mirror caps, and rear diffuser, which enhance performance and aerodynamics.

The aggressively designed M3 CS Touring has a modern kidney grille with yellow DRLs and red highlights. The vehicle has 20-inch rear and 19-inch front forged wheels, and ceramic brakes are an optional feature. Along with a glossy black roof and a red-highlighted rear spoiler, it comes in British Racing Green, Laguna Seca Blue, Sapphire Black, and Frozen Solid White.

Interior

Inside, the M3 CS Touring boasts an M Carbon bucket seat setup with heating and electrical adjustability. The paddle shifters, centre console, and interior trim feature a carbon fibre finish. The cabin is driver-focused, equipped with the BMW Curved Display, integrating a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen powered by BMW Operating System 8.5.

Engine

The 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six engine delivers 550 bhp and 650 Nm of torque, a 20 bhp increase over the standard M3 Touring. The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system enables a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed capped at 300 kmph.

Price

The BMW M3 CS Touring is priced at £120,600 (~₹1.08 crore) and will be produced in a limited run at the BMW Group Plant in Munich.
