BMW Motorrad has introduced the R 12 S to the global market, paying homage to the iconic R 90 S of the 1970s. Based on the R 12 nineT, the R 12 S features a retro-modern design that is sure to turn heads.
This bike is available in a striking Lava Orange Metallic color scheme with red double linework, orange contrast seat stitching, and brushed aluminum accents on the tank and seat hump. The motorcycle is designed for solo riding, with a single seat and a compact front cowl.
The R 12 S is powered by a 1,170cc air-oil cooled boxer twin engine, delivering 108 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox and shaft drive, the bike achieves a top speed of 215 kmph.
Standard features include the Comfort Package with Hill Start Control, Shift Assistant Pro, Heated Grips, and Cruise Control. Headlight Pro adds adaptive cornering light, while optional upgrades like Tire Pressure Control, Intelligent Emergency Call, and a micro-TFT display enhance versatility. Accessories designed for the R 12 nineT, such as titanium exhaust systems and soft bags, are also compatible.
