BMW Motorrad has unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. With an ex-showroom price starting at Rs 22.95 lakh, the new adventure motorcycle offers a bold and capable package. Bookings for the model are now open, with deliveries slated for April 2025.

Design and Features

Compared to the standard R 1300 GS, the Adventure variant boasts a more commanding presence, featuring a 30-litre fuel tank and a more substantial overall appearance. The design incorporates a taller windscreen, a wider front end, and an optional lean-sensitive adaptive headlight with two auxiliary lights. The Adventure model maintains the signature X-shaped LED headlight and can be equipped with an optional electrically adjustable suspension.

Engine and Performance

The R 1300 GS Adventure retains the 1,300 cc boxer twin engine, delivering 143 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. For the first time, BMW Motorrad has placed the six-speed gearbox beneath the engine.

Technology and Riding Modes

This adventure bike features a host of electronics, including lean-sensitive cornering ABS, engine brake control, hill-hold assist, and multiple riding modes. For challenging off-road terrains, the Enduro mode is available, enhancing its versatility. Additional features such as adaptive cruise control and pro-ride modes are also offered.

 Wheels and Braking System

Standard cross-spoke aluminium wheels are paired with optional enduro-forged wheels, reducing weight by 2 kg. The bike retains the same wheel sizes as the R 1300 GS—19-inch front and 17-inch rear. Braking is handled by dual four-piston radial-mount calipers at the front and a single two-piston calliper at the rear.

Colour Options and Variants

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is available in four variants: Basic (Racing Red), Triple Black (Blackstorm metallic), GS Trophy (Racing Blue metallic), and 719 Karakorum (Aurelius Green matt metallic).
