BMW Motorrad began accepting bookings for the CE 02 electric scooter one day after teasing it. The CE 02 will be the first electric two-wheeler to come from the TVS-BMW collaboration. The electric scooter is manufactured locally at TVS’ Hosur facility and will also be sold to foreign markets.

What to expect in BMW CE 02?

With just a few body panels and a single flat seat, the electric two-wheeler has a simple design. Expected features of the CE 02 include USB charging, keyless operation, a reverse gear, a USB light and a 3.5-inch TFT screen for the instrument panel. A 220 mm rear disc and a 239 mm front disc will be used for braking and ABS is probably included. The scooter will have 14-inch wheels with tyres in the front that are 120/80 section and the rear that are 150/70 section.

The two-wheeler is available with an 11 kW or 4 kW electric motor worldwide. The low-speed model can only reach a top speed of 45 kmph, whilst the 11 kW version can go up to 95 kmph. The electric two-wheeler is available with either a duo of 2 kWh battery packs that provide a range of more than 90 km per charge, or a single 2 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 45 km.
