Bajaj Auto is preparing to debut its new ethanol-powered motorbike and three-wheeler in September 2024. Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto Ltd., stated that the company intends to debut both vehicles before the end of this fiscal year. This move follows the recent release of the Bajaj Freedom 125, the world’s first CNG-powered motorbike, which debuted earlier this year. This action is in keeping with the government’s plan initiative to promote environmentally friendly vehicles in India.

Bajaj Auto has not yet disclosed any specifics on the forthcoming ethanol-powered motorcycle. It might be a whole new model, like their recently released CNG-powered Freedom 125, or a modified version of an existing petrol model designed to run on ethanol. In September 2024, when the motorbike is officially introduced, further details will be made available.

At the most recent Bharat Mobility Show, numerous ethanol-powered two-wheelers were on show. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India featured the CB300F Flex Tech, which runs on E20-E85 ethanol blends. Furthermore, TVS Motor Company earlier unveiled an E100-powered Apache RTR 200, highlighting the growing focus given to ethanol as a sustainable motorcycle fuel option.
