Bajaj Auto has had decent sales figures in recent months, due to its current model line. Now, the company is preparing to extend its electric scooter lineup, with plans to launch an entry-level e-scooter in India.
The company has yet to provide any launch-related information. However, a few reports indicate that it will be available by next month. AS per AutoX, Rakesh Sharma, the company’s executive director, has already approved the news. He stated that the new product will appeal to customers.
The forthcoming battery-powered scooter is anticipated to cost less than Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom), if reports are to be believed. It will be positioned below the advanced Urbane model.
Customers under the price range of Rs 1 lakh are likely to have fewer colour options. No premium shade will be available. In fact, certain features will most likely be removed in order to make it more affordable.
Regarding features, the same basic LCD unit from the older versions is probably going to be available. In the midst of this, the car is anticipated to include two cubby pockets, allowing the riders to keep phones, devices, or items, making it at least a value-for-money vehicle.
The powertrain options have not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer. But to save costs, we think it will use the same battery layout as the Urbane model.
