Bajaj Auto’s Chetak electric scooter surpassed 20,000 bookings in July 2024, marking an important milestone. According to Bajaj, a major factor in this increase in demand has been the introduction of the new Chetak 2901 version, which is priced at Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom Bangalore).
According to the company, one of the main reasons for the rise in bookings is Bajaj’s strategic expansion of its sales network. By opening Chetak Experience Centres in Tier 2 towns, the firm has made the scooter more accessible to a large customer base. The debut of the Bajaj Chetak 2901, which features a metal body, has also helped to attract new buyers.
The Bajaj Chetak 2901 is available in five colour options: Red, White, Black, Lime Yellow and Azure Blue. It also has alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, and a digital console as standard features.
Customers can add to the features with the optional TecPac, which contains several extra features such as Hill Hold, Reverse, Sport and Economy modes.
