Bajaj Auto Limited reported its sales data for December 2024, revealing a slight overall decline of 1% compared to the same month in the previous year. The company sold a total of 3,23,125 units, down from 3,26,806 units in December 2023.

  • 2-Wheelers:
    • Domestic sales fell by 19%, with 1,28,335 units sold compared to 1,58,370 units in December 2023.
    • Exports saw a 15% growth, reaching 1,43,838 units from 1,24,631 units last year.
    • Total 2-wheeler sales dropped by 4% to 2,72,173 units.
  • Commercial Vehicles (CVs):
    • Domestic sales increased by 5%, with 34,085 units sold compared to 32,549 units.
    • Exports jumped significantly by 50%, with 16,867 units compared to 11,256 units in December 2023.
    • Overall CV sales grew by 16%, reaching 50,952 units.

Year-to-Date (YTD) Sales Performance (April-December 2024):

  • Total sales during this period increased by 8%, reaching 35,48,032 units from 32,82,357 units in the same period last year.
  • Domestic sales grew by 6% and exports by 12%.
  • 2-wheeler sales rose by 8%, while commercial vehicle sales grew by 8%.

Despite a slight dip in December, strong export performance across both 2-wheelers and commercial vehicles underpinned Bajaj Auto’s overall growth trajectory for 2024.
