Bajaj Auto has reported a 7% year-on-year growth in total sales for January 2025, driven largely by a robust performance in exports. The company’s total sales stood at 3,81,040 units, compared to 3,56,010 units in January 2024.

2-Wheeler Performance: Domestic Decline, Export Surge

The company’s 2-wheeler segment saw mixed results in January 2025. Domestic sales fell by 11% to 1,71,299 units, down from 1,93,350 units in the same period last year. However, exports demonstrated robust growth, increasing by 37% to 1,57,114 units from 1,14,898 units in January 2024. This led to an overall 7% growth in the 2-wheeler category, with total sales reaching 3,28,413 units.

Commercial Vehicles Maintain Steady Growth

Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicle segment also showed positive momentum. Domestic sales rose marginally by 1% to 37,060 units, while exports surged by 41% to 15,567 units. The strong performance in exports propelled the total commercial vehicle sales to 52,627 units, marking a 10% increase from January 2024.

Year-to-Date Performance Reflects Positive Trajectory

For the April 2024–January 2025 period, Bajaj Auto recorded an 8% increase in total sales, reaching 39,29,072 units compared to 36,38,367 units during the same period last year. The 2-wheeler segment contributed significantly to this growth, with domestic sales rising by 4% and exports increasing by 14%. The commercial vehicle segment also showed an upward trend, growing by 8%, supported by a 22% surge in exports.

While domestic sales saw a slight decline in January 2025, the robust export performance underscored Bajaj Auto’s strong international presence.
