Ashok Leyland, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, has announced its sales figures for August 2025, showing steady growth across domestic and export markets. The company reported a healthy performance in both the Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) segments.
Domestic Sales Performance
In August 2025, Ashok Leyland sold a total of 13,622 vehicles in the domestic market, marking a 2% increase compared to August 2024.
- 
M&HCV Trucks: 6,426 units sold, up 1% from the same period last year. 
- 
M&HCV Buses: 1,565 units sold, registering an impressive 11% growth year-on-year. 
- 
Total M&HCV: 7,991 units, a 3% increase compared to August 2024. 
- 
LCVs: 5,631 units sold, up 1% from last year. 
Cumulatively for the year, domestic sales reached 68,350 vehicles, a 1% increase from the same period last year.
Domestic and Export Sales Performance
When combined with exports, Ashok Leyland sold 15,239 vehicles in August 2025, a 5% growth over August 2024.

M&HCV Trucks: 6,738 units, almost flat compared to last year.

M&HCV Buses: 2,643 units, a remarkable 36% growth, reflecting strong demand in international markets. 
- 
Total M&HCV: 9,381 units, 8% higher than August 2024. 
- 
LCVs: 5,858 units sold, up 1% from the previous year. 
Cumulative domestic plus export sales for the year reached 74,541 vehicles, a 3% increase over last year, highlighting the company’s expanding global footprint.
