Toyota has unveiled the first teaser for the much-anticipated 2025 Camry, set to launch in India on December 11. This marks a significant milestone for the ninth-generation Toyota Camry, which will be manufactured locally to offer competitive pricing. The hybrid sedan has been a presence in the Indian market for over 11 years since its debut in 2012.
The teaser image, shared on social media, reveals the Camry’s new LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and highlights the vehicle’s elegant design. Inside, the 2025 Camry boasts a dual-digital display and an updated center console for a more sophisticated feel. Comfort is elevated with features such as individual climate control for rear passengers, seat-back screens, Type-C USB charging ports, window curtains, and a premium JBL audio system. The spacious cabin, made possible by the vehicle’s extended wheelbase, promises an exceptional experience for all occupants.
Under the hood, the new Camry will be powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 222 bhp. The engine will be mated to an eCVT transmission, ensuring efficient power delivery. While the international model features a front-wheel-drive setup, the Indian variant is expected to have similar performance specs. The current Camry offers a fuel efficiency of 19 kmpl, and the new generation is expected to improve on this figure.
