Renault globally unveiled the all-new Duster SUV in February 2024, and now spy shots of the extensively updated model have emerged, taken during road tests in India. These images suggest that the Indian launch of the Duster may happen soon, possibly as early as next year. The photos, captured from the rear with partial side-profile visibility, show the test vehicle under heavy camouflage, hiding most of the finer design details.
Despite the camouflage, it is clear that the new Duster retains the muscular stance seen in the global model, featuring a silhouette that remains consistent with its predecessor.
The front end of the Duster is expected to feature a new grille with Renault lettering in place of the traditional logo. The updated design will also likely include slim, Y-shaped LED daytime running lights, vertical bumper air vents, and rounded fog lights, further enhancing the SUV’s modern look.
The international Duster’s interior includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is angled slightly in the direction of the driver. A 360-degree camera, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a 7.0-inch completely digital instrument display, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a redesigned steering wheel and a rotary gear selector on the centre console are some of the other noteworthy features.
Under the hood, the new Duster will offer a range of engine options globally, including a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol motor, and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. Additionally, a mild-hybrid setup is available with two of the turbo petrol engines. While it’s still unclear whether Renault India will bring all these engine options to the local market, it’s likely that the India-spec Duster will feature a selection of turbo-petrol engines.
