The Lexus ES sedan has received a second facelift, previewed at the Auto Guangzhou show in China. This signalled that the eighth-generation model is still a few years away.

The updated ES features noticeable design changes, including a more modern front fascia and a streamlined interior with fewer physical buttons. One of the key updates is the larger 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, now integrated with climate control functions for a cleaner dashboard layout. The cabin also boasts a sophisticated “Silver Lance Moon Ridge” trim, adding to its premium appeal. In China, customers can choose from the Snowy Night White interior or a stylish two-tone Tanzanite Snow Night option.

Mechanically, the Lexus ES facelift remains unchanged, continuing to offer the same 218hp, 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain. The model competes against popular luxury sedans like the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Volvo S90 in India, where it is priced between Rs 64.00 lakh and Rs 69.70 lakh.

While the exact launch date for India is still uncertain, the refreshed Lexus ES is expected to arrive in the country next year, bringing with it updated styling and cutting-edge technology.
