Mahindra’s all-electric XUV700 alternative, previewed by the XUV.e8 concept in 2022, has surfaced in new images, revealing key design details. The electric SUV, potentially named the XEV 7e based on recent trademark filings, retains the bold design seen in the XUV.e8 concept. Up front, it shares the full-width lightbar and triangular headlights found on the XEV 9e, with a closed-off grille and a slightly altered bumper design.

The side profile and rear design closely mirror the XUV700, showcasing matching cuts, creases, and tail lamp styling. Inside, the cabin features a futuristic dashboard with a widescreen display, housing three screens. Notably, physical buttons on the center console have been removed, with controls now integrated into the touchscreen interface, similar to the XEV 9e.

One significant update is the three-row seating configuration, offering ample space for passengers. Additionally, the XEV 7e will include a panoramic glass roof with perimeter ambient lighting, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems, and a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos.

Underpinned by the INGLO platform, the XEV 7e could feature all-wheel drive, as suggested by the new Snow drive mode seen in the images. Powertrain specifics will be revealed closer to launch, but expect rear-wheel drive as standard, with top variants offering all-wheel drive options.
