Adventure-ready Mahindra Scorpio-N edition revealed; Check out features

In South Africa, Mahindra unveiled the new Scorpio-N Adventure Edition, an SUV that is tougher than before. Based on the top-spec Z8 four-wheel drive model in South Africa, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition has several upgrades to further increase its capacity to handle rough terrains.

The exterior of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition underwent the most modifications. The SUV’s approach and departure angles are significantly improved with the introduction of new off-road-spec bumpers on the front and rear. The new bumpers are made of metal to withstand impact, placed higher up and are shorter. Additionally, they come pre-installed with a winch, auxiliary light, high-lift jacking points, recovery hooks and a tow bar.

New 18-inch alloy wheels with wider profile all-terrain tyres are mounted on the Scorpio-N Adventure Edition, and extra cladding is added to the wheel arches to make room for the larger tyres. A roof rack for further utility completes the SUV’s rugged look.

The South African-spec Mahindra Scorpio-N is similar to the model offered in India. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces 172 bhp and 400 Nm of maximum torque and is paired with a 6-speed automated gearbox.

Standard equipment for the Scorpio-N Adventure Edition includes a four-wheel drive. The terrain modes available on the SUV are Normal, Grass, Gravel, Snow, Mud and Sand.
