Kia India will begin officially accepting bookings for the new Carnival MPV on September 16 for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. Sales of the fourth-generation Carnival are scheduled to start on October 3. Unofficial dealer-level bookings have been going on for a couple of weeks already.

Certain features for the India-spec Carnival have been confirmed by Kia India: a 12-speaker Bose sound system, dual 12.3-inch curved displays, power-sliding rear doors, an ADAS suite and a second row of electrically adjustable captain seats with ventilation and leg support are all included.

A digital rearview mirror, an upgraded digital key with fingerprint identification, ambient lighting along the dashboard and a head-up display are among the other features that will be available.

The new Carnival in India is anticipated to be equipped with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that powered the previous-gen MPV. In the global market, the MPV is also available with a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid and a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine.
