Wipro is an Indian multinational corporation. It provides information technology, consulting and business process services. In Bangalore, Karnataka, India is its headquarter. In 2013, Wipro separated its non-IT businesses and formed the privately owned Wipro Enterprises. Current CEO Abidali Neemuchwala has announced his resignation from the company. In a press conference he stated that he would be stepping down from his duties due to family commitments. He also said earlier he would do so until a successor is appointed by him.
However, Wipro has already picked its newest CEO. Capgemini Executive, Thierry Delaporte will be the new CEO and MD. The company reported this change in leadership in BSE filming. Delaporte will officially abdicate Neemuchwala by the 1st June, 2020. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Capgemini Group and a member of its Group Executive Board. In the 25 years of his career at Capgemini he held many top positions. This Includes CEO of the Global Financial Services Strategic Business Unit. He also oversaw Capgemini’s lndia operations.
