Indian business tycoon, Anand Mahindra, and Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates were batchmates at Harvard University. They reconciled during Gates’ visit to India on Tuesday. The two billionaires discussed about working together in the future. Gates, who has also authored several books, gave a copy of his signed book with wishes to his former batchmate.
The duo had last shared a time together during their college days before Gates dropped out of the Harvard University in 1975. The Indian billionaire studied film-making and architecture at Harvard University and graduated in 1977 with magna cum laude. Anand Mahindra went on to get his MBA in 1981 from Harvard Business School.
Apart from being his college mate, Bill Gates also met with Indian cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar on Tuesday itself. The sports sensation revealed a few details about his discussion with the billionaire on his official twitter handle.
Tendulkar has devoted a lot of time and resources for the improvement of children’s healthcare in India. The duo talked about improving and resolving issues related to healthcare facilities for children around the globe. The cricketer has been working actively in providing proper education and healthcare to children through the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation. Further, he has admitted that he and Gates have agreed upon a meaningful partnership for this initiative.
Apart from Tendulkar, his wife is an inspiration since she sacrificed her career to raise their kids while the cricketer was off on tours. The cricketer himself revealed this during an interview, showering praises for his wife. He had told that Mrs. Tendulkar was outstanding in her profession, and also being a gold medalist, she had major dreams just like any competitor in the world. However, she sacrificed her dreams to take care of their kids, namely Sara Tendulkar and Arjun Tendulkar, the legend added. “It wasn’t an easy thing to do, but Anjali managed to pull it off for the sake of her family”.
