Maharashtra Political Crisis: Thackeray to hold National Executive meet today

Maharashtra Political Crisis underway; big decisions lie ahead for Shiv Sena party, party executives to meet today at 1 p.m.

As the Maharashtra political crisis continues over the possible ousting of Siv Sena and rebel group leader Eknath Shinde. Hence, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called for a National Shiv Sena Executive meet today at 1 p.m. The crisis has left the state government in uncertainty and chaos. Reports make it clear that leader Eknath Shinde has the support of almost two-thirds of the party’s MLAs. But Uddhav Thackeray has the growing support of NCP and Congress.

Thackeray will join virtually. The executive members included tourism minister Aaditya Thackeray, former chief minister Manohar Joshi, industry minister Subhas Desai, former ministers Leeladhar Dhake, Diwakar Raote and Ramdas Kadam, party MPs Sanjay Raut and Gajanan Kirtikar, former MPs Anant Geete, Anand Adbul and Chandrakant Khaire.

Shiv Sena leadership under Uddhav Thackeray has made statements against the BJP before. For supporting and inciting a rebel movement within the Shiv Sena party. And that they were “responsible for the quarrel and disturbance that the party faces now”. Shiv Sena had also dug out old wounds allegedly inflicted by the BJP on the country. Moreover, Samanna had pointed out that the BJP has created a lot of chaos over the years such as in the state of Kashmir and perhaps their target is now Maharashtra.

Thackeray to hold National Executive meet

Sharad Pawar, the head of the NCP, met with the Maharashtra Chief Minister yesterday. He conveyed his displeasure with the continuing political issue. And said that it should be resolved as soon as possible. Since it is harming the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government’s credibility.

Reports suggest that a lot of meetings are scheduled today amidst the crisis. Eknath Shinde Camp is set to meet inside the Radisson Blu Hotel at 2 pm to discuss the new rebel strategy. And decide the process to follow after Deputy Speaker Narahari Sirwal calls for the 16 MLA s. Whom Shiv Sena has reported and called for strict action to be taken against.

Moreover, Shiv Sena executive’s meet is scheduled at 1 P. M. Where the party’s future will be discussed along with the possible ousting of Eknath Shinde as a party leader. As NCP chief Sharad Pawar suggested, the Shiv Sena party is all set to take a tough stand. Hence, following the meeting, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Aditya Thackeray will give a public address at 6:30 P. M. today.
