After the news of Madam President elect Droupadi Murmu becoming President broke. Moreover, locals from Droupadi Murmu’s native village were seen celebrating with lighting Diyas and taking out victory processions.
She emerged victorious in the in the presidential election by bagging a total of 6,76,803 votes. Which was over her rival Yashwant Sinha who polled 3,80,177 votes.
She is now set to take oath on July 25th. Thus, the next day after incumbent President Ram Nath Kovind’s tenure comes to and end.
