Wipro, an information technology major has recently appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), Thierry Delaporte. He will be replacing Abidali Neemuchwala as the new CEO and MD. Neemuchwala will step down from the post on Monday, after which Executive Chairman Rishad Premji will oversee the operations until Delaporte joins in from July 6, said Wipro. Prior to joining Wipro, Neemuchwala worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He joined Wipro in April 2015 and served for about 5 years.
Thierry Delaporte is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Capgemini Group and a member of its Group Executive Board.
