Droupdi Murmu took the oath of 15th president of India on Monday. Further, she took the position of former President Ram Nath Kovind. On Monday Ram Nath Kovind expressed praises for the warm farewell he was offered on his exit from the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Ram Nath Kovind in his farewell address to the nation on Sunday had talked about the various moments of his five-year term.
Ram Nath Kovind recalled his learnings from Mahatma Gandhi and his experience with his predecessor Pranab Mukherjee. “To think of occupying any Constitutional post or even to conceive of what it meant was quite beyond the scope of my imagination as a child. Or of those around me, but our democracy has given ways and means for people to find ways of contributing to serve the country”. He said. He advised young people to stay related to their roots in villages and cities and their teachers and elders.

He also disclosed his thoughts on vacating his official residence of five years and his successor’s note-worthy sign. “President Droupadi Murmu personally coming from Rashtrapati Bhavan to drop me off. At my residence at 12 Janpath, New Delhi is a very touching personal moment for me. As well as an example of the high traditions of Indian democracy,” he told.
Moreover, Ram Nath Kovind shared photos of remarkable farewell moments where Prime Minister Narendra Modi could be glimpsed. “The presence of the President, the Vice President, the Prime Minister, the chiefs of the three services and the dignitaries in the farewell ceremony will remain in my unforgettable memories. I believe that I will continue to get the blessings of the people of the country.”
