Abu Dhabi, May 14: The UAE’s Federal Supreme Council on Saturday elected Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the President. According to WAM, Dubai Ruler and Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared his congratulation. On Friday, President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs said. He was the country’s President since November 3, 2004. The government said official mourning and flags at half-mast for 40 days. All work in government and private sector will remain suspended for three days, Arab News reported.
