1. Shweta Bachchan’s Divorce :
The beautiful daughter of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta is always seen accompanying her father in most of the events. At the age of 21 she tied the knots with businessman Nikhil Nanda. However the couple could not hold onto each other, and their marriage ended. Shweta and Nikhil have a gorgeous daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda. Shweta Bachchan currently lives in her father’s residency now. However, the Bachchan family has never made it official as this news could affect their public image.
2. Hatred between mother and daughter :
The mother-daughter duo, Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan are always seen smiling the brightest in front of the paparazzi, but there’s nothing more in store than that! It is said that, Shweta got married at the age if 21 because of pressure from her mother Jaya. Her married life turned upside down and she gives the credits of her failed marriage to her mother! The duo don’t share a good relationship for the same reason.
3. Amitabh worked in B-grade films:

Amitabh and Rekha’s love story is one of the most talked about love affairs of Bollywood till date. However, they never named their relationship in public. Amitabh got married to Jaya on 3rd June 1973 but even after their marriage, Amitabh’s and Rekha had an affair which later when came out in media was hushed away. Rekha still wears Sindoor and Mangalsutra which is said to be her way of showing love for Big B.
5. Aishwarya was never the choice of Jaya Bachchan:
Aishwarya Rai was not the choice for Jaya as Abhishek’s wife. The veteran actress wanted Rani Mukherjee to marry her son. Also, it is said that Jaya is not really happy about Aishwarya’s popularity as the former Miss India has a huge fan base and name in Bollywood than Abhishek. The Bachchan family hence didn’t allow Aishwarya to continue with her career after marriage.
6. Sisters-in-law share a cold vibe:
Shweta and Aishwarya can be clearly seen avoiding each other in the public eye. From the awkwardness between the two, one can say they don’t get along together. Rumours have it they still don’t talk to each other properly! One of the reason behind this is that Shweta is very close to Abhishek’s ex-girlfriend, Karisma Kapoor and she also wanted Karisma to be her ‘bhabhi’, but things didn’t work out and now it seem that Shweta has still not adjusted with Aishwarya being her ‘bhabhi’.
7. Navya Naveli’s love affairs :
The granddaughter of the Bachchan family, Navya Naveli had made headlines when some pictures came out in media. Navya has been in the paparazzi as there’s a good list of boys whom she has dated. It was also said that she once dated Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aaryan. However the Bachchan family wasn’t really happy with this. She was sent to London for further studies and later was linked with Javed Jaffery’s son Meezan Jaffery. Not only this but, Navya Naveli leads an arrogant lifestyle. 8. Relationship between Aishwarya and Amitabh :
This will be the final blow and the worst one too. There were rumours that Aishwarya was romantically involved with Amitabh. This was also said to be one of the reasons why everyone hated the Bachchan Bahu! But again, we are not sure whether this holds any truth or again is just a fake rumour.
9. Amitabh and Co-star Shatrughan :
Shatrughan Sinha, who worked with Amitabh in films like Dostana and Kala Pathar, had alleged that Amitabh felt insecure in his presence. This was revealed in his biography, where a part read, “People say that Amitabh and I made a dynamic pair on screen but if he did not wish to work with me, if he felt that in Naseeb, Shaan, Dostana or Kaala Patthar, Shatrughan Sinha bhari pad gaya(having Sinha around worked against him), it didn’t affect me. There were so many films that I dropped out of and returned the signing amount. There was a film called Patthar Ke Log – one of Prakash Mehra’s – written by Salim-Javed…so many films that I gave up without a backward glance because of Amitabh Bachchan.”
10. Amitabh used people and dumped them:
It’s very rare to see that politicians and film stars forge deep friendship but there was a time when people used to give examples about the friendship between politician Amar Singh and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. There was a time when Singh and Bachchan shared a very strong bond and the two were often spotted together at big events. But later in a series of events the relationships got sour and the two fallout completely. Later Amar Singh had accused Amitabh of being an ‘opportunist’ as he felt he used him for his political gains.
11. Parveen Babi had claimed that Amitabh tried kidnapping her :
Amitabh was romantically involved with Parveen Babi. The two worked in many films together and started dating. As per rumours, when this caught the attention of the media, Amitabh Bachchan, who was already married to Jaya, left Parveen Babi. Later, Parveen shocked everyone claiming that Amitabh was a gangster, who tried to kidnap and kill her.
12. Amitabh Bachchan forcefully kissed Amrita Singh :
Amitabh Bachchan had kissed Amrita Singh forcefully. The incident took place in a party where Amitabh had got jealous of a co-actor who was dancing with Amrita on the dance floor. Driven by jealousy, he pushed that co-actor away and had held Amrita in his arms while forcefully kissing the actress. Later, Amitabh had apologised for the same as Amrita was very embarrassed.
13. Bofors and Panama Controversies:
Amitabh Bachchan and faced several allegations in the Panama Papers case and Bofors scandal. The family’s name had popped out into the two big schemes later which were nullified. After their name came out in the schemes, Big B was grilled by the media and the entire nation, their family was also declared as traitors which led to a lot of humiliation.
