The Rupee continued to rise on Wednesday too, as it advanced 9 paise to close at 77.24 against the USD on selling of brisk US Dollar by bankers and exporters despite weak equity market, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
 
                  
According to Bloomberg, India's central bank is intervening in all foreign exchange markets and will continue to do so in order to safeguard the rupee, which hit a new low on Monday.
 
                  
The Rupee on Monday slid 40 paise to 77.31 in the opening session against the US Dollar on brisk demand for the greenback by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
