India's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 54.7 in April from 54 in March reflecting a solid and faster improvement in operating conditions across the sector, according to a private survey released on Monday.
 
                  
Manufacturing PMI stood at 55.9 in October, increasing from 53.7 in September and 52.3 in August after dipping below the critical 50.0 mark in July.
