An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 0259 GMT.
Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Mexican President said, "The quake had sent rocks tumbling down hillsides and damaged walls, it had not caused major damages in Acapulco's home state of Guerrero or the neighbouring region of Oaxaca, or Mexico City."
No damage to property or casualty was reported due to the moderate-intensity earthquake, officials of the district administration added.
