Delhi Environment Minister Goapl Rai has initiated a campaign namely 'Light lamps, not firecrackers', in order to create awareness among people before the festival of Diwali.
 
                  
"In 2015, there were 109 days when air quality was not poor, while in 2023, there are 206 days when air quality is not poor," said Minister Gopal Rai.
 
                  
To prevent air pollution, only electric, CNG and BS-VI compliant diesel buses will be operated in Delhi. The effect of this order can be seen in some cities of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
