As the next CBIC Chairman, the government appoints Sanjay Kumar Agarwal
Surjit Bhujabal, a senior IRS official, has also been named a member of the CBIC's investigating team. In November 2022, Bhujbal, an IRS official from the 1989 batch, was employed by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), the top intelligence agency operating under the CBIC, Department of Revenue, and Ministry of Finance.
