The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Thursday staged a protest here, under the leadership of its national president of Srinivas BV demanding an inquiry into the Adani issue.
“The whole world is seeing the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s kindness to Adani. Crores of rupees of the general public are at stake, their hard earned money is getting drowned,” the IYC president.
He added, “Today, when the Congress party is standing with the public in this difficult situation, PM Modi, who is seen everywhere, is seen running away from this matter.”
“If Adani is not PM Modi’s friend then he should have said in the Parliament that he will get the Adani group investigated, but he is silent. Therefore, it is clear that the PM is saving Adani,” Srinivas said.
Until a JPC probe is conducted into the matter, the struggle will continue from Parliament to the streets, he added.
