A 30-year-old woman was injured due to a blast in Mumbai’s pathological lab. A portion of a building collapsed due to the impact of the blast in a liquid nitrogen tank. The incident took place around 9 am in ‘Century’ building at Worli in Central Mumbai.

The tank, which had the capacity to store 250 litres of liquid nitrogen, suddenly exploded in the lab housed in the building, an official said. The fire brigade and police personnel rushed to the spot.

The woman sustained injuries on her left leg and head but declined to visit the hospital, saying the wounds were minor in nature.

Nobody else was trapped as no one was present in the office when the incident happened because of morning hours.
