Jammu and Kashmir Police have uncovered a major terror-related case involving Dr Aadil Ahmad Rather, a resident of Qazigund, whose interrogation led to the recovery of 300 kg of RDX, an AK-47 rifle, and ammunition from Faridabad, Haryana.

Dr Aadil Rather, who was working at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Srinagar, came under investigation after police recovered an AK-47 rifle from his locker at the college. The recovery was made with assistance from the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) in Anantnag.

Following his arrest, further questioning revealed critical details that helped the police trace and seize a large cache of explosives and arms from Faridabad. The seized materials — including 300 kg of RDX and ammunition — mark one of the largest such recoveries in recent years.

Authorities have launched an extensive probe into Dr Rather’s links, investigating possible connections to terror networks operating across regions. Officials said more arrests and disclosures are likely as the investigation continues.
