As part of the high-precision Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has begun releasing verified footage of the sites destroyed during its surgical strikes across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The first video released today showcases the destruction of Target 1 – Abbas Terrorist Camp at Kotli, located just 13 km from the Line of Control in PoJK.

According to official reports, the Abbas Camp served as a nerve centre for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and was primarily used to train suicide bombers. The Indian Army confirmed that over 50 terrorists were being trained at this location. The camp was completely destroyed at 1:04 AM on May 7, 2025.

Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the brutal April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, saw the Indian Armed Forces strike nine separate terror facilities deep inside Pakistani territory and PoK. The government confirmed these targets were terrorist infrastructure only, not Pakistani military bases, with utmost care taken to avoid civilian or military escalation.

Among the most impactful targets were two separate hits on the Subhan Allah complex in Bahawalpur, a known stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The strike reportedly killed 10 members of JeM chief Masood Azhar’s family, including his wife, nephew, elder sister, and brother-in-law—a UN-designated terrorist.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi briefed his cabinet today on the strike’s execution, reiterating India’s commitment to responding decisively to cross-border terrorism.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s response has been mixed. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the strikes as an “assault” and “heinous act.” However, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif acknowledged that while Pakistan had retaliated, it was open to de-escalation. “If India backs down, we will definitely wrap up these things,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.

Stay tuned as the Army is expected to release more strike videos in the coming hours.
