In a strong and calibrated response to Pakistan’s attempted drone incursions on the night of May 8 and 9, the Indian Army has launched a coordinated fire assault, destroying multiple terrorist launchpads near the Line of Control. The military action comes under the ambit of Operation Sindoor, India’s ongoing counter-terror initiative.

The launchpads, located in forward areas across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, were believed to be central to the planning and execution of past terror attacks targeting both Indian civilians and armed forces. A statement released by the Indian Army confirms that these structures have now been razed to cinders, dealing a serious blow to Pakistan-backed terrorist infrastructure.
According to officials, the strikes were carried out with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring no collateral damage to civilian settlements nearby. These operations followed Pakistan’s failed attempts to breach Indian airspace using a fleet of drones targeting multiple cities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab.
The Indian Army has released video footage of the strike, showcasing the scale and precision of the assault. Senior defence officials emphasized that such actions were measured, targeted, and necessary to neutralize threats and prevent future escalations.
Operation Sindoor, launched after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, continues to demonstrate India’s resolve to dismantle cross-border terrorism at its roots.
