
On Thursday, the 37 centres located throughout the state started the process of counting the ballots for the 182 members of the Gujarat Assembly.
First up has been the counting of postal ballots, which will continue till it is finished.
It is scheduled for the EVM vote counting to begin at 8:30 am.
With a total turnout of 66.38 percent, the 182 member state legislature elections were held in two rounds on December 1 and December 5.
The Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, entered the state, which has historically been a battleground between the BJP and the Congress, turning the election into a triangular one.
Exit polls indicated that the BJP would win handily.
In 2017, the BJP won 99 seats, while the Congress took home 77 seats.
